A great idea for an unusual birthday
gift?
Constructed in 1990,
the Cable Water Ski is a unique sports attraction embraced
by both beginners and experienced skiers. The lake is in the
order of 4 feet deep and skiers are towed by a
rotating cable capable of speeds between 18 km. per hour up
to 60 km per hour. An island is located in the centre of the
lake providing a natural habitat for wildlife and enhancing
safety for users. No chemicals are employed to purify the
water - instead the water is purified by natural processes
and excessive pond weed is controlled by the presence of Chinese Grass Carp
(fish). Because no petrol driven boat is used the facility
is environmentally friendly and causes no pollution.
Beginners can generally
grasp the principles of water skiing in an hour session,
progressing from "knee board" to ski-boards and to mono
boards for advanced users. And remember - all equipment and
support is provided - just bring a towel!
