Seasonal Touring Caravans Site Rules (amended 2002)
Please remember that these rules are intended to help everybody, including you to enjoy their holiday at Skegness Water Leisure Park. The site is open from the first Saturday in March to the last Sunday in October.
1) 28-day Occupancy Rule: Our park staff will explain this rule to you. It is a condition of this seasonal contract that you assist us in complying with East Lindsey District Council’s site conditions.
2) Selling of touring caravans is NOT PERMITTED. Caravans must be removed from the Park to be sold. Anyone found breaking this rule or displaying ‘For Sale’ notices will be asked to vacate their plot. Please contact the office for guidance on the sale and changing of touring caravans.
3 We D0 NOT accept the letting of caravans. However, close family will be welcome, i.e. parents, grandparents, children, brothers, sisters only. There are no exceptions to this rule. In the interest of security, all caravan owners must notify the office of any members of their family using their caravan, giving their name, address, car registration and dates of stay.
4) All awnings must be taken down when the caravan is not occupied. Not only are they a major security risk, we often experience freak high winds that can cause damage to awnings, which then in turn, causes damage to other property. No awnings at all are permitted alter the first Sunday in September. No tents to be erected inside awnings.
5) In the interests of security, please ensure that all valuables are removed and no bicycles are left chained to ‘A’ frames when you leave your caravan. We accept no responsibility for any damage to or loss of your caravan or its contents however caused. The Ramtech Security system currently in operation in the static caravans on our site can also be installed in tourers. If you are interested in this system, please contact the office for advice and costs.
6) Please keep vehicles off the grass when it is soft or wet. Please park cars on hard-standing areas wherever possible. Do not park in road access areas and only one vehicle per tourer is allowed. Trailers are not allowed to be permanently parked by your caravan.
7) No Traders are permitted to rent pitches. Skegness Water Leisure Park is a holiday site for families.
8) Please do not exceed the speed limit there are a lot of pedestrians and children playing in various parts of the Park. Persistent offenders will be asked to leave.
9) Please avoid excessive noise after l0.00pm i.e. slamming doors, noisy conversations and ensure that TV / radio volumes are turned down.
10) Please keep children under supervision. Do not let them roam or play around other people’s caravans as not everybody appreciates noisy children’s games. Cycling, roller-blading and skateboarding are NOT allowed in the vicinity of the caravans, neither are ball games or kite flying etc which should only take place in the open areas provided.
11) Please keep dogs on leads at all times on the site. You must clean up after your pet. Owners found not doing so will be asked to cave the site. Never leave dogs unattended, again, offenders will be asked to leave.
12) We do not allow washing machines or tumble dryers in awnings. Rotary dryers and washing lines are also not permitted. Please use the laundry facilities provided situated at Toilet Block No:2. Tokens are available from the site office. Window frame dryers are permitted.
13) You are required to cut the grass approximately 2 feet around your caravan, to assist in site maintenance. Please enquire at the office about the loan of lawnmowers.
14) Please ensure that your caravan is fully secured and insured against all risks i.e.theft, fire, accidental damage and third party liability. We do not accept any responsibility for any losses that you incur however caused whilst your caravan is situated at Skegness Water Leisure Park.
15) All refuse should be domestic refuse only and placed in black bags, securely fastened and put in the bin compounds provided. Black bags can be purchased from the office. For other refuse such as refrigerators, TV’s, mattresses etc. please enquire at the Office for assistance / directions to the Council recycling centre.
16) No 47kg gas bottles are permitted, and no more than 2 bottles at any one time per caravan. The law prohibits the storage of gas bottles in inadequately ventilated storage units. Our Gas Safe registered gas engineer can advise you further on this.
17) Storage under your caravan is NOT permitted whatsoever, including non-combustible materials
18) Your pitch fee must be paid in full either when the site opens or when you reserve your pitch, whichever comes first.
We reserve the right to terminate the visit of any person or persons whose conduct is likely to cause offence or annoyance to the Skegness Water Leisure Park or of guests using the Park.
In the interest of all caravan owners, a simple warning system is in place in the event of you breaking any of the site rules. In The first instance, you will be given a verbal warning. If necessary this becomes a written warning. If the breach of rule still continues, your caravan will be disconnected from the pitch for removal off the site without a refund of pitch fee. We hope that this will never be necessary. However, we have followed this procedure on a handful of occasions in the past and will do so again if your actions threaten the peace, security and / or safety of staff or Park customers.
With your help, we can continue to keep Skegness Water Leisure Park a secure, safe and pleasant family caravan site. Please help us to help you by observing The Park Rules and also, please do not hesitate to report anyone acting in a suspicious manner to any member of staff.
